conventions in the uk ??????

hi guys
does anyone out there have any idea of predator/sci fi conventions in the uk please. i cant seem to find any that are uk based they all seem to be american!

i personally don't know of any ~ we don't seem to have any of the big cons the Yanks have. I'd say teh biggest things, top of my head, are the London Expo and the various Memorabilia fairs that usually turn up at Milton Keynes/Manchester etc. Haven't seen too many people in costume at those sort of things tho ~ there's the odd couple but nothing like, say, Wizard World con in Chicago etc.

i think i should have a go at organizing something in th uk. we seem to be very short of events like this in the uk and i am sure if i organized one it would be very successful.
i live in wincanton in somerset and we have discworld conventions here every year with great success so i am sure a predator/sci fi event would go down well here!
