CONAN THE BARBARIAN (1982) Wheel of Pain_ DRAGON Head.

Years ago I managed to get the original remains of the Wheel of Pain.

Here I show some photos of one of the heads that were at the ends of the arms.

This specifically I called "DRAGON Head".

This head looks great in the movie as Arnold pushes one of the eight arms where it is positioned in various scenes in the movie.

All the heads are made of polyspan, with a layer of plaster and then paint.

Only one giant Wheel of Pain was made, so this head is a unique specimen.

There are no other copies of the same that were built for the shoot.

And If you look, you can still see the dust and cobwebs of almost 40 years...

Love it! I thought of making a wheel of pain, but of light weight materials. They have those Horse walking devices, to keep the horse walking in a circle. It looks similar to this, and maybe could be modified. I don't have the space, money or time to do it though.

I have shown the pictures to my wife. And her only reaction was a loud scream "Why? Why are people doing this? If it had any point, like a hobbit hole, I could even understand it!"

Samyth1206 Thank you for showing her that I am harmless with my own collection. :-D
