Closeups of Iron Man props from Propworx Auction

Hey, i was at C2E2 this weekend and got some closeup shots just for you guys for making replicas, and thought I would share some of them. I got mostly closeups of the MK1 helmet because i plan on making one at some point, but i was also allowed to get close to the MK2 Arc.

Patience, guys

I've been working on these for a few months now. I wasn't happy with V1.0 so I binned it and started again. V2.0 was much better.

But thanks to this thread I'm upgrading it to V3.0! I've now finished sketching about two more pages worth of the background schematics and I've split the Iron Man layers more accurately.

I still need to get the new stuff scanned in and the artwork updated. Also waiting on some paper samples to arrive.

I can't wait to see these completed. Even with the A4 sized prototype it just has a moment of magic when you line all the layers up and hold them up to the light!

Is there going to be an interest thread in the junkyard from you soon, kurtyboy? I don't want to miss this!

I was wondering if KB or brad was going to be making the blueprints. Get some great images from the film and you can trace/drawing those suckers well. pretty straight forward.

Well it wasn't quite as easy as that. Even with the Bluray its difficult to make out a lot of the detail so some guess work was required. They don't actually show all the layers in the movie either and some only partially.

And then trying to figure out what goes on each layer was a pig, but these new photos certainly helped me fix quite a few errors in that area.

My new layers are complete. Here's what all 4 stacked together looks like. A bit messy when you see it like this! :wacko
