Clone Wars inspired Jedi armor

For a while now, I wanted my own original Jedi armor. My favorite Costume in all of the Star Wars universe is, for some reason, Obi Wan's Clone Wars armor; it's a great combo of traditional Jedi attire with the clean lines and functionality. I ended up keeping his look for the arms and the boots but left off the neck piece. I also always wanted a robe incorporated (can't have a dramatic victory without the wind in your flowing robe), and if I was going to reference some troops, I wanted the control panel from the back of the storm troopers' armor. Think it has turned out pretty good so far.

The only thing I am still working on is a final belt where I can holster my lightsaber. Not sure if that should be my nod to Han Solo and have a low-slung black leather belt, add a holster clip to the belt that I have up by the ribs (holding the back panel in place), or add some slits on the side of the shirt and have a belt under that.

Looks good! I like Obi-wan's clone wars costume too, it'll be fun to watch your inspiration come to life. :)

I've never been partial to the Jedi/Sith costumes but I love Obi Wan's Clone Wars series outfit with the trooper armor pieces. Keep up the good work!

I've wanted to make this armor since the original animated Clone Wars cartoon when it was more clone trooper based but then I fell in love with the newer Clone Wars style.

You're looking great so far, can't wait to see it all finished up and proper.

Decided to go a little closer to the neck piece he wears, but I still did't think a full one would look so great on me. I built a partial one and kept the front open so my neck could move but made the back more accurate to the show. Turtle necks always make me feel like I'm choking anyways, so I thought this was a good solution. Still looking for a shirt to wear underneath and I need to weather this like the rest of the armor, but it's coming along.

I still like to surprise people by telling them it's made of yard sale signs and craft foam. As soon as i can find a shirt to go with it, i'll post the whole suit, but i really don't want to rush it

Fantastic use of materials. Wonderful job so far. :)

So, here is everything I have so far. Got a sweet Obi Wan lightsaber, and I am surprised how much that really adds to the look. I even have a belt already done, but I am having the most difficulty with the shirt. Here, I just have on an exercise tank since it was easier to attach the arm pieces without folded sleeve fabric bulking it up . I would love to find some jedi robes just like his, but I am not going to wear some that are unflattering. You can tell the robes were definitely designed for male-jedi because they look awful on me! I have a feeling I will have to make some on my own. Any suggestions on fabric or anything? I am truly desperate at this point to finish the look, but I refuse to settle for half-ass. I want to keep it reflecting Obi-Wan but flattering on me; is that just too much to ask?!?
