Classic Gambit

I have been meaning to make a classic gambit for years. I finally hammered out some boots earlier this summer, so I decided to put the rest together. Here are a couple of good shots of the finished product followed by some in-progress stuff.

The Boots and breastplate are 20g mild steel. The face-hat thing is neoprene. The pants and gloves are leather and the coat is twill. Hand-made everything myself except the pants. I also had an el-panel playing card that lit up, but the lighting didn't favor it in photos.

Awesome job... Remy has always been one of my faves. Seeing this makes me nostalgic for my Marvel RP days. =)

...though you do look a bit uncomfortable in the trial run shot! I guess the head-mask-thing is a bit restrictive?

It was the contacts, actually. It was only the second time I had ever put contacts in and my eyes were watering.

That is absolutely amazing metal work... Have any specs? What type of metal, what size sheet if metal, how heavy is that beast? Lol. I'm looking for a first build

I used 20 gauge mild steel sheet for both the body and the boots. It's about three pounds, I think. I don't notice the weight, but it does force me to maintain better posture that I'm accustomed to.
