Hey gang, I'll get pictures up as soon as I can, but at Michael's, they have a pretty large clear "diamond" for about $5 that would be a great stand-in for the "Eye of the Peacock". There were other colors as well, I'm sure they were designed to be a vase-filler.

Pictures!

One comes with the Indiana Jones KOTCS toy of him holding the crystal skull. I don't know if it's life sized or not, but it's made of a cloudy translucent plastic.

Love to see pics of the others though, gotta love shiny things :D

Wow, I tought it was a little smaller... That thing is great as a "eye of the peacock"!:thumbsup

Earthbound Trading carries those in different sizes. The look on my kid's face was priceless when he found them.

I'm currently on vacation in the Upper Penninsula of Michigan, and so far, every single gift and souvenier shop I've been in has those diamonds by the cash register in various sizes and colors including the big one.

I saw Indiana Jones at the beginning of the summer and totally don't remember seeing anything like this in the movie. Maybe I blocked it all out it was so disappointing :rolleyes I wouldn't have even noticed these in the shops if I hadn't seen the photo in this post...

Great find!

Any pictures from the side?

In which section of the store did you find it?

Actually the "Eye of the peackock" was featured in the "Young Indiana Jones Chronicles" and people supposed that is the same diamond in "Temple of Doom";)

I'll add another picture of mine from the side tomorrow - it's much bigger than the one that Indy Magnoli has!
:)

Actually, in the "Indiana Jones Journal" book, it confirms that the diamond in Temple of Doom was indeed the Eye of the Peacock.

BTW, that dimaond from Michael's is HUGE!

But the "Indiana Jones Journal" is fan-made, isn't it? :confused

Here's another picture - hopefully it shows the size a bit better. Sorry about the exposure, my camera kinda blows.

EDIT: dkwd: I found it in the back side of the store, I'm pretty sure it was around the floral arrangement/wedding/vase filler area.

Nice, but it's not the correct shape (at least according to the licensed Indiana Jones Journal book). Check out this sketch from the book. BTW, where did you get your headpiece to the Staff of Ra? Very nice.

This is my first post, but I'm a long-time reader of the forum. :)
