Heya, my first thread
I'm currently working (slowly) on making a Chappie costume
I'm starting with the head, which will be 3D printed, the rest will most likely be EVA foam.
My model was created in Autodesk Inventor because it's the only thing I have experience with, but it works perfectly for this so there's that.
So after a nice amount of hours I went from this
To finally, this (which is still not the final version but at the time of writing this, I don't have a newer pictures. The only "big" change though is the camera pod on the chin.)
I'm trying to make the head as small as possible so I can get the whole costume as much in scale as possible.
It's of course still a bit wider than the actual Chappie, but it'd be great if I didn't have to crush my head to fit it in without oversizing the model!
Did a quick test and rough test print to see if my plans actually worked out, and they did!
So right now I'm working on printing everything but cleaner and with a higher resolution.
