Limited Run CFO V for Vendetta Face masks with stands...... "7 Only"

The interest in V for Vendetta has long since died. Only very few people have any actual interest in it and most people wanting a V mask are content with what they can get on places like eBay for less than 50 USD. One of your past V mask buyers selling his mask here on rpf had to let it go for 200$ before it sold, with a wig and custom hat I believe. Its unfortunate you spent a lot of money on these but that happens. I've seen other members making other masks make runs after having been asked to do so and in the end no one actually buys. For the future, regarding anyone who may want one of your masks, I think its best to simply be open for individual commissions instead of making a run.

You may have better luck on eBay since RPF has shown not to care for V anymore and at least there you'll be open to selling to more people. But I can't say you'll have much better luck on there either.

Be weary of who you sell to if you'll sell there though. There is a 'recaster' there who has recasted several different V masks it bought after the people who initially bought the masks sold them. I actually thought it had already bought one of your masks in the past but the mask got ruined in the molding process. It looked like one of yours but upon close inspection I realized it wasn't. Still, if you care for that happening to your masks, be weary.

This is a beautiful piece and I think your pronouncements are inappropriate, at best, and, in my opinion, frankly incorrect. RPF members do not make comments like this in other members' sale threads.

Ok then. So people want a sskunky V mask but the reason they're not selling at the rate of demand is because some don't have the funds? Half understandable. For a high quality, beautifully painted screen accurate mask, I never thought their price had anything to do with them not selling. I was just going off from what I've already seen regarding interest in V. You may not believe it because you and I (and your friend) seem to care enough to say we care, but most people just don't anymore, even here on RPF. I didn't say what I said with bad intentions and I don't mean to discourage sskunky and his sales in any way. I apologize if I did. It was just something for him to think about, why anything V has a hard time selling these days.

I thicker skinned these days. No offence taken.
My point about these not selling was that quite a few members here and elsewhere were asking me to do another run. When I did they all disappeared.
I have in fact only got a few left and have sold some now. I think being the beginning of the year that people don't have the spare cash.
I still love my V mask I have on display and it always gets compliments. I understand that the hype falls away from films after some time.
I bet once these have gone and I don't have any left people will start asking again. Unfortunately I think this will be it. So anyone who has one hold onto it.
The reason I did another "run" was because I get a professional Modelmaker friend of mine to produce these and he won't just make one at a time. Not worth his while.

As far as eBay goes it's not just eBay that recasts stuff I had a member here single me out and stole one of my cherubs from the run I did a while back with full intension of recasting it. If someone wants to rip you off they can do it in so many ways. Sometimes I'm too trusting.

I'm glad your masks are selling. Again, I apologize for saying something that may have been inappropriate and/or interpreted in a negative manner,t was not what i meant. I was just basing off what I said from my own observations regarding the overall interest in V. I've kept a small watch on things regarding V for the last few years and came to the conclusion that I came to. Its pretty sad. I mean, RPF doesn't even recognize him as someone who belongs in the DC Comics section. lol.

I agree. I've no doubt that once your masks are gone, people wanting one will show up again, but they're quick on disappearing right after.


If you decide to sell on eBay, I feel compelled to tell you of the recaster. I'm sending you a pm. By the way, does your modelmaker friend paint these himself? If so, he does a very good job. You should tell him that. haha

I have one of these, and they are wearable if your head is not too big. The mask is not flexible at all, but it happens to fit my head nicely. However, the masks is way too beautiful / expensive / fragile to really wear them. If you want a mask for cosplay, this one isn't the one you want, unless you have way too much money and you don't care if the beautiful paintjob gets damaged because you actually use the mask...
