Casting resin for a helmet???

Does anyone know of a resin that can be used to "slush" a mask instead of laying down fiberglass?

If so will it be as strong as regular fiberglass?

Unreinforced resin will not be as strong as fiberglass reinforced resin. It is a trade off labor/strength

The links not working for me Jon :(

Would this be ok to cast a Vader facemask? I plan on doing the dome with fiberglass reinforced resin.

I am still a long way off from being done, just trying to get the info together for now.
This is a older pic of the project, it's looking alot better nowdays :)

you should be ok with any polyurethane resin, you can thicken it up with powder filler and slush cast it.

What kind of mix ratio would you suggest?

Thanks for the tip Jon, just got around to trying this out tonight, this stuff is great. I have to play around a little because when this stuff sets up, BAM...It really sets up. Great stuff...
