No relation to Oakley at all. Its a mattiza, which is DIRECTLY cast from a original. its all fiberglass.

Havn't posted in a long time. Been busy trying to build an R2.

Anyway, Mattiza did a small run of these years ago. He was an expert on Trooper costumes in the movies and in the replica field but he kinda retired because of real life. Namely his son. :)

I'll tell him about this thread and see if he wants to add anything.

BTW, I have the second or third helmet produced in this limited run. :D

Hey will, could you ask him how many were produced? I heard it was like ten. I could be wrong, just what I heard. Are they numbered in anyway to tell which one we have?
I would post more pics, but I dont have a digicam. Ill work on it for you guys. I didnt know this would be so popular. It really is the best piece in my collection.
I also have a modified vader esb delude helmet that is gelcoated ill post if I can borrow my sisters cam. :)
Someone asked how much I paid. I paid 400 finished and painted by the famous Steve The Swede, who was a master at painting. Is he still around?

I just got a msg from him and he said only roughly ten were made and it is directly casted from a validated rotj helmet.

This is the best helmet i ever seen, would love to see more of his work
