Captain Rex phase 2 helmet, realistic version

Hi everyone, this post its for showing my development of the Cap. Rex phase 2 helmet realistic version, unfortunately i don't have all the pictures of the process, but well I started this project with a regular clone trooper ep3 helmet, and use the Cap. Rex shideshow figure of reference.


I cut, sculpt and modify with bondo and epoxy putty.



after that I made some greeble and sculpted the welding detail in the helmet.


Make a silicon mold in 2 parts

after that I took out the first piece and started doing paint tests


at the end I made a helmet with some modifications to make it compatible with the CW and Rebels version.

and well I am very happy with the final result, I hope and they like it.

Sorry that I missed seeing this before now.Great work!
Unfortunately I can't view the attachments in post # 3 above, but if you could re-post them I'd love to see them.
I have been working on a pep file to incorporate the face plate Rex welded into the original helmet, but although the pep is assembled, I haven't fibreglassed it yet.

Looks absolutely stunning!
I'm surfing through because I have a question though. Do you happen to know which white is considered to be the closest, most movie accurate to the Phase I armor in AotC? (Color code etc.)

This looks awesome. The weld lines look incredibly real!
I wish my head wasn’t so large. I’ve tried on a clone helmet before and it pinches me real bad in the forehead and back of my head. I’d love to wear a larger version of this!
