Question Can't change password (answered)

Awhile back I tried to change my password and after about an hour long ordeal I found that I wasn't able to do so. I had to use the password recovery system to generate a new one and then had no problem logging in and staying logged in.

Well, fast forward to today and I accidentally deleted the cookie that allowed me to stay logged in and had to re-enter that password. I didn't have the email and I didn't know the password, so I had to request another and I tried to change it. Again, it wouldn't let me.

It takes the password that the system generates but anytime I try to change it it refuses to accept the new password.

I'm not really sure what to do... this isn't exactly a good situation to be in. :confused

What was the solution to this problem? I'm encountering the same issue. I performed a password recovery and then went in to change it. When I enter my new password and re-enter it to confirm, it doesn't take the change giving the following message:

he password you have entered does not match your current one. Please press the back button, enter the correct details and try again. Don't forget that the password is case sensitive. Forgotten your password? Click here!

There is no field into which the current password can be entered so I have no idea what to do. Any help would be great.

Sorry for the hassle but there were issues with the facebook connector that was in place when you registered (we have since removed it). Please re-register, using a different user name and then post in this thread and we will fix your new account to reflect your original registration date (and change your user name back to the original if you wish).

I have changed the email address on your account so that you can register a new account with your original email address. After you have registered the new account, post here and I will move your posts from the old account to the new one and deleted the old account.
