Similar thing that gets me is when they film a night scene at was clearly during the day and just darken it to make it look like night.

That doesn't bother me too much. It's one of those things that you just kind of have to accept due the cost and logistics of actually filming at night. And with modern digital technology, it's much easier to realistically to do day for night shots.
