Can anyone identify this kit?

I bought this resin kit many years ago, at a Trek Convention, I remember it from Star Trek (I think I remember it as a mercenary weapon when Picard goes undercover) but for the life of me cannot find any info on it. I would like to refinish it as I was in highschool when I completed it and it shows.

This pistol was used in various episodes. I recall repainted some of them different paint schemes at least twice maybe more. It was used as a generic pistol. The last time I painted them in two shades of black. There is a cast "holster" for this pistol also. The muzzle on the hero's were machined aluminum, some sort of belt drive.
