Can anyone help me identify an old sci-fi kit?

Hi all.

I'm looking to identify an old sci-fi kit from the late 70's early 80's. I had 2 of them and can't for the life of me remeber what the kit was called. It was some kind of explorer type craft with removable sections. It borrowed heavily from Space:1999 if I remeber right. The front module slid off and had a pair of skids on the bottom for landing and the main body section came off also. That's all that I can remember about it. I think it was "Snap" type kit. I've tried finding old on-line catalogs for MPC, Monogram, etc but haven't had any luck there either. Any help would be appreciated as I'm looking to pick one up for nostalgic reasons.

Yeah..starcruiser. Sweet kitbashing fodder that one... too bad they are so expensive now. I had one and it supplied the best set of engine bells for my kitbashed spaceships (re-used over many different build ups.).
