Suh-wheet! I think I'm a gonna have to give that a try. I've got a nifty little metal nibbler, but I don't think it'd much care for .125 brass. Maybe.... but I'd probably be better off going the band saw route.
 
find an industrial scrap yard nearby
buying this metal new is hefty
preferably one near an art school
ya may snag a deeper discount
total cost on my caber was 15.00 u.s.
 
Coolness! There's an industrial surplus/salvage place I've been going to since I was knee high to a Jawa, I guess it's a good reason to go back and look for some brass.

I've seen brass kick plates at Menards and they seem like they'd be the right thickness, but that's nice and new and shiny and expensive. Reduce/reuse/recycle has gotta be the cheaper way to go.
