Build: 1:1 Anovos Vader Statue

Actually the cape on Vader tapers down towards the back. This is really noticeable in the ROTJ promo materials. Its short in the front but meets the ground in the back. It can be seen in the film if you really look for it.

The issue with CP's cape is the collar. Its far to wide for any of the versions. ROTJ is not wider then ESB. They are the same. KevVader's ROTJ opening is smaller then Custom Props. Kev's can work as ANH/ESB AND ROTJ. I tried both and was surprised. The second issue is the 6 panel 3/4 circle design. That is wrong too. Its far too much material making it close to far on your set up. Majority of the OT Cape's were 1/2 circle with only 4 panels, the same as Kev makes his capes. And last I saw Kev is much cheaper. I only paid $600 shipped for my set.

But your display is badass. Far better then mine, although I focused more on the suit then the display since I also troop in it.

Thanks for the info.

With all my displays I try and get the most accurate to the screen as I can, but I also need it to be workable to the "real world." If that makes sense. The way my helmet sits on the manny you don't really see the collar anyway. As I recall, the three main makers of capes/robes are CP, KevVader and FenixProps. Again, trying to remember but I thought it took forever to get anything from KevVader. I was really happy with CP. They work pretty fast and had great communication.

One of the big problems I had with the ANOVOS cape was that (apart from being woefully short for a XXL size) it didn't cover the shoulder armor very well. This new CP is wool and has a really nice feel and weight to it, plus I kind of like having the extra cape to play with and adjust. Too much cape seems to be better than too little cape. :D

I only paid about $600 for my cape and robe too. Their prices may have gone up since I bought mine, probably about a year ago.

Thanks for the comments and the kind words. :thumbsup

Thanks for the information. I'm still looking for more info on David Prowse size. I'm printing out the robot in INMOOV and need the info to enlarge the robot to a full size Darth Vader.
