BSG Uniform Pattern?

I was doing some looking around and noticed something rather remarkable, the USAF Cadet Dress uniform jacket:

1) Has a stand up mandarin collar
2) Tucks into the trousers
3) Has two rows of buttons at a slight diagonal, one of which could easily be removed.
4)Looks to be the same cut as the BSG Duty blues.

Has this been seen before? I looked, but could find no thread or mention of it. Does any RPF'er have anything like this? This could be the source, I don't know.

Could be... You never know what the dsigner was looking at for inspiration and reference. She likely looked at many different things, and chose a style she liked.

Wow, that's uncanny... minor modifications would be needed, of course, such as the piping down the edge of the flap down the front and the suede on the shoulders... but it does look REALLY close. Nice find!

BTW, is the cadet in the pic a family member? :)

No, nothing to do with me, found it on the internet somewhere. I cannot seem to find any other shots of the jacket though.

The resemblance is uncanny, hell, even the color is so off.

Chef's jackets are similar, true, but too loosely cut. The above uniform would be cut far better and in a more "military" fashion, thus making it appropriate.

However, it is only waist length, which would mean a pattern modification. That's why the sash is there. Otherwise, it seems near spot on.
