Bringing the Amazing Spider-Man Movie to Life!

Alright here is the deal, I am in the process of building an Amazing Spider-Man suit and purchasing a Lizard full body suit. The goal is the bring the action of the Amazing Spider-Man to birthday parties of children. I already have the classic suit with a custom venom outfit that I use, but I want to expand with the next wave of Spider-Man. What I am looking for is ways to bring alive the action of the movie to parties.

Here are some of my ideas:

Modify the web shooters that are available in pieces to shoot real webbing.
Now this one is a bit tricky, but I believe I have the mechanics down. I will be taking a very small drill to the nozzle pieces of the shapeways shooters. After drilling a hole, I will glue a magnetic rim to the outside of the nozzles. Then, I will feed fishing wire through it that has a magnet attached to its tip. This magnet will lock onto the rim magnet to hold it in place when not in use. As for holding the fishing line in the shooter, I will be putting a wind up device in the main chamber to assist in this process. After all this is done, I will encase the top of the shooter with a clear poker chip that when wound will roll up the webbing. The webbing will then be able to be flung once it is detached from the rim magnet and thrown.

Create a Dr. Connors Character that Transforms
This idea is one I see working out the best. I will have a person come with Spider-Man to parties dressed as Dr. Connors. He will at some point mention he is feeling sick and that he needs the antidote. Spider-Man will open a case and notice there are 4 color viles. He will accidentally inject the doctor with the green vile as they will not be labeled. After a few minutes, Connors will mention he is feeling sick and go back to the car. He will then return as the lizard, having an identical ripped lab coat on as he returns to fights Spider-Man.

Develop a Rock Solid Fight Scene
.....yeah I am still working on this one. I have some very vague ideas, but they need improvement.

Apart from these ideas, I really do not have much else. That is why I am opening this up to a topic of conversation. What do you think I could do to bring the movie to life for kids?

Nice!
You started your thread. Please post lots of pics.
I will say if your doing the Shapeways shooter it is a lot smaller than people think.
Not that much room for lights, battery, mechanics.
We've all toyed around with webbing and so forth.
In the end it's just too small.

Prove me wrong though broham.
Look forward to the thread.

I can promise you it will be. I am thinking about doing some kind of trick look with the shooters, cover the top and not make them light up. IDK I have some ideas for it. As for the suit, progress is coming.

Expect to see a full fight scene video posted on youtube for sure!

So I thought I would post the progress on the lizard costume.

Let me know what you guys think so far, personally I love how it looks! and I am sure the kids are going be believe this is the real lizard.

This sounds like a great show! Way better than having a dumb clown! This is something I would not mind having even at the age of 30 XD!

One thing I think they do in the Broadway show for webbing is throws a hand full of streamers attached to his wrist. You could try that at one point?

Or for viewer participation have the kids spray him with silly string to distract the Lizard?

Add so flips, and cartwheels off of stuff and that is a show worth seeing!

I was thinking about streamers, but we do a series of games and activities first before the fight scene is initiated. Currently the Spider-Man suit in my avatar picture fights a venom suit that I made.
The problem with streamers is that I would need a crafty way of putting them in my hand, that and the kids ask me non stop if I can shoot a web. I want to make something that I can shoot off multiple times and it still looks semi real.

I have used silly string before, to help Spider-Man defeat Venom. The biggest problem is how oily it is. Last time I used it there was major staining on my Venom suit I bought so I took that as a motive to make the one I have now.

As for the flips and cartwheels, I am working on it lol. I have an athletic build with good arm straight, I just need to practice par core. I am taking lessons so hopefully I will be able to do some cool stunts. The goal though is to make sure the stunts don't destroy the suit (hours of puff painting just to destroy it....I would not be too happy haha)

All and all loving the feedback everyone! The more I can get the better, I want the kids to be super amazed at how the lizard and Spider-Man act at the party.

So getting close to completion for everything. But I am faced with another problem. I am currently acquiring Thor, Captain America, and Iron Man costumes. The problem is, IDK who they should fight? I cannot figure out which villain I should have come to parties. I thought of Loki, but he would be a little tough with hand to hand combat. Any ideas?

Maybe Hulk? Or some Skulls

I thought about both those options, but I need to do something that is more realistic. I cannot do a good hulk without making it look fake. :/

Update:

Lizard and Spidey suits are done! They will be here this week. I need to put in the shoes on Spidey and do the lenses, but for the most part it is done.

Now all I need is a customer to book these 2 together!!!
