Hi Folks
I dont have the time (or probably the skills) to do propmaking myself,
Which is why I get Andy19422 and THG Props to do that stuff,
But give me a soldering iron, a drill, and a Jigsaw, and I'll do my best to bring "Destiny" back to life :devil
Here we have a section of the floor grille and one of the 4 foot striplights each powered by 5 meters of high intensity LED lights
( I have a 2nd strip light and a curved grille piece, but need more LED's for those )
The perspex sheet that I cut for the grille is to act as a cover - I'm guessing they also had some underneath cover for these also on set
- The thin wood strips on the behind the grille pic each have LED's on both sides and the reason they don't fit flush into the rest of the frame I made, is that I had to leave space for the wiring loom that powers them all
- I spray painted the backing panel of the strip light in chrome, and the grille light in gold so that they enhance the reflectivity of the LED's
- Overall cost to bring these units back to life was just 70 dollars
