Need to go listen to some Beach Boys now.
Started his own Genre of music and influenced so many others through his Genius
I was lucky enough to see him and the Boys July 4th at the Washington Monument
It was like a traffic accident I could not keep my eyes off of him as he came in and out of consciousness

He was a genius, and too talented for the band. I recall watching a documentary where they discussed his vision for the music, and what he heard in his head for how the songs should sound, and he knew The Beach Boys weren’t talented enough to record it. He had to bring in the Wrecking Crew for the recordings because of their abilities, and they even said Brian was tough on them. He micromanaged every note. He had a vision and a sound in his head, and he couldn’t stop until he achieved it.

The best outdoor concert I have ever been to and I have been to quite a few
Got there at about 7:00 AM it was raining off and on picked a spot center stage right in front.
My girlfriend correctly told me we had to move back as we would not see anyone on the stage we were a little way from some rednecks who brought a tent and a rebel flag, you can see them in footage of that show lol
I finally passed out in the afternoon as I was up for 2 days straight being home for leave from the Military
Woke up right before the show at around 6:00 PM and could’nt believe how many people were behind us
The sun came out right when they took the stage as if by magic
Needless to say it was one helluva show, so lucky to have seen it
