Breathable Bodysuit

Anyone on this site use the same technique as Walking With Dinosaurs to make their bodysuit.  I believe it would look great for the skin of a Mr. Black breed of Yautja, and would allow a bit of ventalation for sweat evaporation.  I'm all for comfort in my costumes and trooping around in a full rubber suit with sloshing sweat up to my ankles has never been appealing.  It has in fact been the one thing that has kept me from making my Predator costume. o_O

If you are not familiar with what I am speaking of, it is the use of a light base fabric and painting the latex scales on while leaving a thin space between the scales as the base fabric.  I understand that this wouldn't work on a classic smooth skin Yautja, but you could more than get away with it making a berserker style.

Thank you so much for the link jtgreek!  His work is amazing!  Although the predator suit is awesome, I really want to try the version I have in mind.  I'm a sucker for detail, and the texture of the Yautja skin is one of the more important details for me.  But I will definitely keep Snakepit studios in my Plan B file.  If this project of mine doesn't work out I may have him makeup a female version for me. :)

In the next few weeks I'm going to start test swatching and see where it goes from there.

Other tricks I wanted to try on my suit were the cool suits that race car drivers use.

I could see that cooling unit getting built into the backpack area on a p1 possibly.

Also I'd be curious to see how well tiny tiny holes near around quils might help or not. Could weaken the latex and make it more susceptible to ripping though, no idea.

Any other ways to cool it down?
