BPRD Badge

I have this piece in my costume thread but I thought I'd share it over here as well. I could have had the badge entirely made by badgeandwallet.com but the seal for just one badge would have been an additional $300 so I decided to make my own. I tried a piece from an ear gauge which turned to be a total bust. Finally, I got an order of stickers which turned out to work and look good.

I too am working on a BPRD Agent costume for Halloween 2011. I am going for a ca 1950's look. Here is my badge without the center seal.

I thought about that at first when coming up with ideas for a badge. Realistically I just didn't want to have to cut at the buckle with the risk of not finding another to use as a buckle.

these badges are not from the movies. but more fan made ideas to what a B.P.R.D. badge could look like.

you never see what they use as id. badges are used as a form of authority eg FBI badge. some one shows you a FBI badge you know what they are cos you know what the FBI is. but since the B.P.R.D. is a secret organization being shown a B.P.R.D. badge would be meaningless. as no one would know what the B.P.R.D. is. well it was until Hellboy let himself be blown through that window in the second movie.

but saying that, in the Hellboy comics the B.P.R.D. is like any other federal law enforcement agency. it is not a secret and is as well known as the FBI. these badges would be in keeping with the comic B.P.R.D. and not the movie B.P.R.D.

but they are still cool.

lovely clear drawing of the B.P.R.D. badge on the cover of Abe Sapien 15. if only some of the more skilled among us would take on the project of making a run of these. it would look great with the replicas you can get from Skeleton Crew Studio.

please someone do this cos i really want one and i doubt Im the only one.
