I just went and saw "National Treasure: Book of Secrets" last night.....anyone considerning tackling the President's book yet?

There is a guy over at Club Obi Wan that made the original prop. He is thinking about making another.

Very cool. Thank you.

I would love to make one of these for myself. I think it would be a lot of fun to do.

I mainly deal with trek replicas, but I LOVE National Treasure and the book would be sweet!

Anyone know how I can get into the thread on obi-wan? I cant create an account since I only have gmail and yahoo email addys.

any news? I still don't have access to the clubobiwan. could someone post the images here or provide a link that is accessible?

The thing is, the original prop creator requested that COW members not repost the pics anywhere else-- he wanted them left on the COW boards itself.

Please dont go reposting these around, I wanted to share it with you all because the film is up the alley of Indiana Jones, and being a Gearhead and costumer definitely helped me in understanding details for making these props.

The COW admins usually approve new memberships once a week. Just give it another day or two. :)

Looks like that thread kinda died off quickly. I wonder what they used as the source material to make the book. It looks like they did a lot of planning and detail work for this prop to be prepared for close up work.

Appearently this is based on a real historical piece, so it may be possible to find it somewhere else as an alternative.

Thanks, I had seen that on COW, but my question is really about the source material... I have the bookbinding part down, but I am curious as to where the source material was found to fill the book.

-Bryan

Probably all made-up.

There are only two things you can see in the trailers: an inscription from George Washington on the first page, and a photocopy of a Roswell document.

I myself am mighty curious as to what kinds of fun and cool stuff they shoved in there.

Wow!! A 6 year old thread, nice..

You want advice, I'm guessing everyone else will tell you the exact same thing:

Search Forums - the RPF[]=
