I'm looking for a fibreglass Boba Fett helmet but i can't pay over that much. Does anyone here know of any kits available anywhere. My rubies helmet got ruined in the sun so thats why im after a more durable one. Any help would be great.

You would be better off asking this in the Costume Forum not models.
Not going to get any traffic here.

Does sgt fang still make these ?, they were at a good price if I remember rightly...dunno if it's in the price range you're after though..

Cheers

Ah, ok...didn't know they were all resin, Could a thin layer of matting and resin be applied to the inside to make it tougher ?...I dunno, fiberglassing's not my thing, but just a thought..

I may get shot saying this, because I just don't much about it or exactly what you want, but what about that one in the toy department. I just saw it the other day, but barely glanced at it. It was at Target and on the shelves with the regular SW toys. You don't usually get something too authentic or accurate in the toy department, I realize, but just throwing this out there.

Decent size, but needs the visor and cheeks re-worked to look good. No idea on the accuracy, as I've only really seen the custom useage of it so far.

Any reason you're looking for a fiberglass one vs resin? Most of the time you'll find that the current crop of resin helmets are pretty durable, the only difference being that they are a bit heavier due to the thickness required for that strength.

I have seen toy clone helmets (very similar) modded, and they look pretty nice. I would consider a fanmade though.

I had one of those years ago, it was fine as is and I didn't need to reinforce it, it didn't need to be.
