Blood Angel Space Marine armor build

Well, I decided to build me some Space Marine armor (after building my son a set of Master Chief armor this past halloween – that was my first foam armor I have ever built, in the pic on the left). I have been working on my space marine for two months so far and it is far from done. Trying to get all of the pieces made, then I’ll go back and start with the cleaning up, detailing, painting, etc. I don’t have very many build pics, was just too into the build to be thinking about taking pictures. I am going with the Blood Angel paint scheme. My daughter is making the molds for all of the teardrops I’ll be needing, purity symbols, etc. for resin casting.

I also attached a couple pics of the décor pieces I have so far…The chest, shin, and knee décor. I’ll be on 15” drywall stilts (which I may cut down a couple of inches, will wait and see). I am currently working on the backpack, which will have a 200mm fan inside for cooling of the suit - it will draw air thru the suit and into the backpack where it will exit thru all six vents). I’m also going to build a working (I hope) power fist, a plasma pistol, and a chainsword and shield.

I am in no rush to complete this, although my daughter now wants me to build her a set of X-01 armor from fallout4. (already worked up some foam files for that since I couldn’t find any anywhere – 11.5 hrs and over 300 sheets of letter cardstock hehehheh. But that build won’t begin until my Space Marine is done. I’ll try to do better and take a lot of pics of that build and post it on here once that begins.

JeepGuy Looking good!
Thats a large size costume with lots of bits and I'm really looking forward to seeing the moving parts on the power fist etc.
Keep up the good work!
