So Im new to this site and am trying to make a Black spiderman costume out of Lycra. I have a zentai suit and am now working on the large white spiders for the front and the back. I was wondering if maybe anyone had any tips to apply the spiders. I was gonna have them sewn on. Might there be a better way? Im worried it will compramise the elastisity of the materials. I was planing on using whit lycra for the spiders. Thanks guys. Any advice would be great.

Im still not sure how I should go about attaching the front an back spiders. Thinking of sewing on a few sections and using some sort of glue for the rest.

What I did was just draw the spider pattern on a whole piece, and then hand sewn it on the suit. I in fact only sewed the hand pieces, my gf did the spider part. We also had a very small time frame to do everything with a limited budget. If you are good at sewing then I think if you took your time you could do the whole spider perfectly. We used a spider window decoration to get the size scale for the chest piece. Along with looking at tons of photos online and such. She took measurements constantly and marked the black suit with soap so it wouldn't ruin the suit.

Thats kinda what I had in mind. Im just afraid sewing it might ruin its ability to stretch. Im drawing out the spiders myself just so they can be how i want an fit my shape properly. Been seeing how people have attached soles of shoes to them too. Might do that instead of wearing my creative recs with it! lol

I used an under armour shirt because it stretches. I wanted to sew shoes on but we didn't have time =( It is worthy of doing, cause I had to use some old man slippers to not ruin the suit lol
