Big-little Ewok

Thought I would share the suit in action and without any distractions. She's been to two events so far and got approved for the Rebel Legion just yesterday. All ready being familiar with Fursuit building helped me achieve this costume's completion in about a month's time and I'm just a novice still at that even. Been building full bodied suits for less than a year. Yub Nub is only my second full body suit. I have made a tauntaun as my first. This suit was a growing spurt for me. A lot of mistakes as well as scores. I do plan to make another Ewok character, one of these days. You have not seen the last.

Oh, and I do know its a problem when the little Ewok is taller than the stormtrooper. I'm a bit large, yes, tell me something I don't know!

Nice work. What materials did you use?

I used upholstry foam, for the head and toes, tennis shoes, pillow case, Monster Hands, faux fur, doe suede for the hood, duster feathers, Sculpy clay, plastic christmas ornaments for the eyes, and elastic to make sure the fur stays over the tennis shoes. I'd be glad to go into more detail if yah like :) Thanks for asking!

I was jut wondering how you made the face mask. That's some excellent crafting.

Thanks! I used a balaclava (Think ski mask or to keep your head warm during hunting season or when riding a motorcycle) and then glued the foam to the balava. THe head's pretty bulky with all the foam, but it's very true to the likeness of an Ewok. Most people that build ewoks use a flat, white opera mask and its just...its makes for a creepy odd-shaped ewok. An actual rounded head is very Ewok, but I'm really anal about that so this is how I approached that for a better look. To each his own. :)
