Best way to clean a batman cowl

Just wanted to know if i should use soap and water or just water ??

I have to say when I first read the thread title I had to chuckle.

But which cowl is it? Cloth, plastic, rubber? I would suspect that you could probably try on a small inconspicuous spot and see how it fairs.

i have a rubber one (not 100% sure what its made from) i usually give it a wipe with a damp cloth and then when its dry give it a spray with some back to black (tyre blacking stuff) then let it sit for a day or to to soak in, then presto, its all nice and clean and black and shiny and clean and nice
