Best sources to purchase foam mats?

I want to make a custom costume for Halloween. I've been looking at all the variations of foam matting. In my case, it needs to be smooth with no patterns. Anyone have any good sources to purchase a variety of foam mats in various patterns and thicknesses?

well I found mine in the camping department of Walmart. its just one size and thickness but for less than 5 bucks I will take it.

Harbor freight is the cheapest I've found. 4 sheets - 10$

Haha and you're from Raleigh, SO, just scoot on up Capital Bvld and hit the harbor freight up there. I want to say it's up near Guitar Center, but I can't remember exactly where.

Look into the foam mats from Bass Pro Shop. They are crazy smooth!!!! Pretty cheap, decently think. Currently have a buddy creating Batman out of them, and gives the piece a good look!

Aslo those 24"x24" foam floor mats have a nice texture to them. Check out some of the Mass Effect threads to see. Harbor freight sounds like they are cheaper than Costco. Try them.

my question is how do u paint foam? won't it wither the foam itself? or am i way wrong? also im wondering... whats the best glue?
