I'll chime in here. The most important thing is to properly prep your resin surface. Many people think that the slicker a surface, the better. On the contrary, the best surface to paint on is slightly rough and as uniformly rough as possible. For resin, I recommend Ajax with bleach for a good rub down, which should get rid of all the releaser oils. Use gloves to handle the piece between washing and painting so you don't get any hand oils on it. My personal preference for painting resin is Duplicolor automotive spray paint, followed by the hard lacquer finish. This is a very durable paint and will survive lots of handling. Hope this helps.
