Best Brushed Gold Paint for Iron Man miniature?

I'm painting an Iron Man miniature for a friend, and I'm posting to ask anyone who has found a reliable paint for that Brushed Gold look Iron Man has...

I already know some great Chrome Paints but Gold is something that I have not used much of, and you can't even spray on a clear coating because it will dull the finish!

the only paint i can think of is plastcote gold paint, but im not sure about the clear coat,as your right about the dulling?

Alclad II has a couple of Gold Colors that look like that may work!

If your kind of looking for that weird brighter yellow gold, Testors has a bottle called I believe apple gold metallic in its small color bottle line. This was the same color (in spray form) used on Crowe T. Robot from MST3K and I've seen some Ironman comic based models done with it. It seems to do the trick as it doesn't look brown like a gold shade can. Brass can also work as well.

^The Crow T. Robot color was Lime Gold Metallic. I have a Crow sitting right next to my computer, though, and I'm not sure it really captures that that "weird brighter gold" look, as you put it.

Polished Brass

Gold Titanium (Which is too light for my choice)

Mirrored Gold for Lexan

Personally I like thePolished Brass the best,
it's not as dull as the Pale Gold...

how big is the miniature? You may want to look into some of the war gaming paints like Citadel or Reaper
