Berserk Gatsu costume

In these days the work went forward. IT seems to be coming along very well.
We had a problem with the color of the armor, it seems darker than I wanted, but mikhail told me that in part depends from the light and from real is much better. There are other small "imperfections" that could not be correct because it was not physically possible to make them otherwise. as the excessive length of the extra piece of thegcannon, if it were shorter I would not have space to load the firecracker (and a smaller firecracker contains more gunpowder and is illegal to use at a convention), or the glove of the cannon that is open in the lower part, but that can not be metal also the part of the palm because otherwise could not use it to use the sword (and with one hand only that sword is really too heavy). And so on...

damn, if ever a good time to say badass, its now.. fantastic craftsmanship going on here. Question though, mate; did you make your own patterns for the boot armor plates? If so would you mind sharing them with me? I've been looking for good medieval style boot armor patterns and my luck is null, would certainly be appreciated. Either way great build, following closely

As I wrote above, for lack of time and because this cosplay was particularly favorable to the profession of Mikhail, I am dedicated only to the part of the special effects of the cannon and bombs, accessories (Puck, Bejelit, makeup ...) and coordinate everything. Anyway I'm also doing a lot of gym! I can not interpretare Gatsu in a good way without being pumped up! :lol. The bulk of the work, for now, it was did from Mikhail, and he has done a great work! Since it was not enough time, and he wanted the expedition departed as soon as possible, for fear that something might remain blocked at customs, the repeating crossbow will do it myself. I'll start tomorrow. As for the projects because of the boots were made by someone who knows mikhail, I have to find out if this person is willing to condividerli. The Dragonslayer should weight 6-8 kg. When I have in hand I'll be able to say precisely. But it seems very heavy. All the armor should weight no more of 25 kg... but i have to wait the expedition to say it exactly...

oddly enough, when I load the images, it do not show me the thumbnails. only shows a question mark, and when I publish the post shows only the image name. does anyone know how to fix it?

However, the armor is traveling and I get it in about 15 days. In the meantime, I am preparing the mini-bombs always using firecrackers of free sale (they make so much noise only), the bandages for the arms and the sword (with old sheets, darken using the English tea) and a cast of silicone of the bejelit I bought on e-bay .

I was inspired by the idea that I had in the costume of captain america; in that cosplay, I had prepared the "vintage stickers" printed on adhesive paper. During the fair, I signed them and I gave them to people as a presents). Unfortunately, the character of Guts does not have something as simple to use as a gift, but the Bejelit is fast enough to reproduce and coloring. so I want to prepare about 50 Bejelit (if I can do even more), as gifts for the people. it has only three colors red, gold and gold dry brushing...and a string of rope ...

I'm a bit worried because I do not know if I have the time to do even the crossbow ...

Mini bombs done. 23 pieces. Hope it will be enough. The package with the armor has been shipped the last saturday. It is not arrived yet. I'm so anxious... it can take 2 weeks to arrive. 10 days in this state and I'll start screaming!!!!!!

Never did I think I would see someone attempt This costume out of metal. Bloody nice work mate. I'm looking very forward to seeing it finished!

I have almost finished anything. Lucca comics will start the next week. I didn't get a picture of me in the armor; you have to wait until the end of lucca. I want to show the final result with makeup, scars and fake blood.
Those are some other photos of the WIP :D

Y'know, Ildegard. You're seriously making me want to make Guts Berserker armor for my husband next year, and Griffith armor for myself....

Thanks Emma :$... I like guts very much too and this character respects my philosophy of cosplay (if it flys, even just a little, you have to fly).

The Lucca Comics & Games there had been a couple of weeks ago. I have not posted anything because i had to recover physically and catch up with work ... the complete outfits (including the sword) came to weigh 38 kg. Wearing it for 5 hours a day during the convention was a huge effort, but I survived, and most importantly, I did not kill anyone. The cannon worked perfectly and the noise was really loud.
