Hello all,
I tried to start a file over at the YourProp.com but I made a mistake and these do not qualify so I thought I would put them here instead! Hopefully I have them in the correct place now!
What you see above is the U.S.S. Copernicus, NCC-3815 Ptolemy Class Tug with her escort the U.S.S. Hannibal NCC-512, Saladin Class Destroyer!
They are on there way to the Space Station K-7, near the Klingon Neutral Zone, a short distance from "Sherman's Planet" which is in dispute by the Klingon Empire and the United Federation of Planets.
There cargo, tucked inside that innocent looking container, is the hearty and robust grain called "Quadrotriticale". (Note: after almost 40 years I STILL can not say this word!)
This is my interpretation of events leading up to "The Trouble With Tribbles".
The kit was put together with two Polar Lights 1/1000 scale U.S.S. Enterprise models and decals with container instructions by J.T. Graphics!
The ships are mounted using brass rod onto a wooden board which was edged and had a real space scene printed out on my HP PCS 1610 A-I-O printer! I like the idea of floating space ships over real space scenes!
The only thing I changed was the designation on the side of the cargo container! According to the Franz Joseph book "Star Trek Technical Manual" NCC-1000 stands for liquid and NCC-2000 stand for dry bulk! Well I wanted mine to read NCC-1958, yes I'm 49! So if anyone asks the grain needs to be submerged in water to survive the trip through the vacuum of space! That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
Hope you enjoy and comments, only good ones, are always welcome!
Now that I understand better about how YourProp.com works I will try to post some of my scratch built props up soon!
Later all, Petseal
