Beetlejuice Shrunken Head Guy

The scarf looks a lot like one my mother used to have. It was a polyester with much the same design. Probably came from a large department store knowing her.

Yeah, no plans to cast this. Though a few more of this cast are available still on eBay if you look (just as long as you're prepared to put the work into getting it to look decent).

No, not JJ; another seller. Though now I have it, I wouldn't be that surprised if it turned out to be a recast - it'd definately not been professionally cast.

I think I bought the same head off eBay to use for a halloween costume and I have no idea where to start. Can anyone give me some tips?...ie:

What to use to fill the air bubles?
What kind of paint to use?
How to attach the hair?
How to do the stiching? ect.

Thanks

I used Milliput to fill the air bubbles (the fine white variety).
I used Humbrol enamels to paint it (any small tins of paint from a hobby shop will do).
I glued the hair on in small bunches with superglue, working from the bottom of the back of the head up (this probably took longer than any other part of the head).
For the stitching I just got brown leather thong, cut small strips of it and glued each end in place - so each "stitch" is actually a seperately cut piece of thong.

I had forgotten that I never posted a finished pic in this thread (and I never did find an accurate scarf...) so here he is:

that turned out great, really looks the part, that casting you received needed a lot of work, but you've done a brilliant job
