This is the first/only prop I've made. Last Halloween I threw a party, and went as Miss Argentina. I made the book to hang out on the coffee table as an extra little prop for my costume. I painted/decoupaged/hand colored a hardcover book I had lying around and converted it into the handbook.

I mean I'm sure I could probably whip some more of these up but my methods of working are probably not professional enough yet, especially compared to everyone on here.

The only way I was sure to get the image exact, was to decoupage it directly to the book cover after I had added the lettering & painted it the correct maroon color. Then I went back over it with some prismacolor colored pencils. So it's not really "professional" unfortunately.

I've seen some really nice versions of this, where people have made an outer sleeve for the book using a graphics program. I personally prefer when old books have the image on the actual hard cover, which is what I was trying to go for.

& What I'd REALLY love to do is make a repro of the Bio-Exorcist advert on newsprint and have it sticking out.

I'm sure I do, but I'm not totally pleased with the way it turned out. I plan on wearing it again, so I will have the time to fiddle and get it 100% accurate.

Mine sits on my coffee table year round. Hopefully I don't come home, and find blue flames in my fireplace though...or a pesky sandworm outside my door.:lol

Oh I would love to see this! I worked from the largest/clearest image I could find at the time which was from a t-shirt hot topic sold about a year ago. A girl I found on flickr, has an amazing version. She actually was given promotional book covers!

Very interested in the location of this image. Here's us at a con from October of this year as the Maitlands. I've got the book but it belonged to my friend Lydia, (pictured) I'd love to see Your Miss Argentina too, she's such an overlooked character but is pivitol to the movies plot
