Beehive Helmet

Hello all, I hope to have a lot to offer. Here is my interpretation of the Airborne helmet. This is my 3rd version and due to the increase of pictures of the helmet I keep correcting it. I am going to attempt a fourth version to change a significant area.

Due to forum rules I am not selling or soliciting for this helmet. Just wanted to share. I do fine on another board.

That's really sharp.

What did you mold it from? You mentioned that you keep correcting it, so I was just wondering if it's more of a sculpture, or can it be worn???

thanks, i molded off of my brothers moded e2 kellog helmet. AND used a lot of auto bondo. when i originally sculpted this i only had like 3 reference pictures from the internet. my time frame was like 8 months and 2 revisions after the first. i spent like 3 to 4 hours a night then 8 on the weekends. lucas gave this clone maybe 30 seconds of screen time. i, like many, wanted to make the new regular clone trooper but was beat to the punch by many others. so i saw this and ran with it. so far i am 1 of 2 who have attempted a sculpt. when the first version of the beehive helmet created fuel, more and more pictures surfaced and a lot of feedback. the latest was out of the star wars chronicles the prequel book and i finally had a decent picture of the back of the helmet. although still very limited and small.

unfortunately it has been recasted and i have found out who a few are, actually quite a few but they do not openly sell. like alley ways and dark street corners. only one fool right now and i confront him every time.

the helmet is very roomy. there has been one guy who made an entire airborne costume and his attention to detail is impeccable. he is a 501st member now.

Gotta love a roomy bucket. I have an oversized grape, so what's roomy to some, barely fits me.

Great helmet work. Do you have more pics of the rest of the helmet? It would be great to see the back and sides as well as a front shot.

:thumbsup

If you are who I think you are (hip) I have a couple of your helmets sitting at my place sitting waiting for me to paint up. I love them they are fantastic.

Love this helmet, always have since the first time I saw it. Unique, original, and true Star Wars all the way. I would love to see more pictures if you have them and want to see the fourth version.

Movado
