Ive always loved the Beastmaster movie since I was a kid and tried to make this Jun helmet. I made it out of foam and covered it with bondo but I was wondering if anyone has any better ideas to make it more movie accurate. I was hinking of usung the hockey mask and filling the holes with bondo, any better ideas?

in the movie it looks like molded leather. Maybe you can order some from Tandy Leather, then put that over the hockey mask and go from there...hope this helps.

Happy to help. you might want to build it up so that the eye holes are recessed and the "cheek" areas are up higher and more pronounced. maybe using modeling clay or some thing.
When you start please post build pics ;-)

yep i would say go with couer bouli (sp?)
over the mask and also for the wings.
good luck this is a very cool piece

which mask ya usin?
and where may it be obtained?
lemme check my leather box i may have a good size piece you can have

Heres a few screen shots, sorry for the bad pics, the cloer I look at them the more I see it is leather covered with a fabric type cape hanging off the back of the helmet for the "jun soldiers" and the main commander of the juns has the anlter type wings with a skull and horsehair tail sitting on the top of the helmet, not sure which version to make yet, what do you guys think?

I still see a lot of the movie prop in this helmet, the eyes are slightly off but easy fix and the lines of the forehead and cheeks look dead on, I cant wait to see pics of your piece though.

the mace is great, if you look close I think the prop maker used a table leg of some kind, good luck with it

Loved that movie, one of my all time favorite classic. I cant wait to see your finished project.
