The model is done in cardstock, foamboard, wood, sintra plastic and bondo. The 'mech stands about 22" tall, 15" wide and is 13" long.
Theres more detailed pics of it back on my blog.
Hope you guys enjoyed it, Questions, comments critiques are welcomed.
Thanks for looking at it.

Dude, if you haven't shown this on classicbattletech.com, you need to.

The Line Developers will freak!

Also...any plans for casts?

I only have a couple of small crits on the model and they may be irrelevant to the MW4 design (I got classic Madcat on the brain)

The ankle actuator covers should be rounded. The Machine guns should all be chin mounted. It looks like the large laser/medium laser mounts are inverse. No exposed LRM cones. Should have a corner block on each launcher to knock down to an LRM 15.

But honestly, I don't care. She's a thing of beauty and is extra lovely. Hell of a job!:thumbsup

Thanks, glad you guys like it.

@Sigma-LS
I'm glad you like it.
As for taking it over to that site you mentioned, just got done setting it up.
As for casts, the nature of this model would make casting nearly impossible. As for future models, I will do my best to make sure that they are mold-able. Plus, it would probably make work go faster to do the symetrical parts.
As for teh design, I stuck pretty close to the MW4 design, but I also stuck in some classic battletech elements, such as the vents under the arms, or the back of the legs, and some other spots. The machine guns, or the lack thereof, always bugged me, in the game and in this model, so I decided to make it my config and left the two ports empty. If you look closely into the ports, you should be able to see some cables and the machine gun hardpoints. The lasers are inverse, but I was following the MW4 design, and the missile covers I chose over having actual missiles sitting in there. I thought that having the covers would make the missile batteries more interesting. I also designed them to look like individual launch tubes over a reload capable missile rack (Which the reload approach would've been a lot easier to make).
The cockpit was difficult to make as I didn't have very many good reference pics for a 'mech cockpit. So the cockpit follows the clssic battletech setup, the timberwolf's conceptual designed cockpit, and the cockpit from a F-4 phantom fighter plane.

I forgot to include a picture of a veiw of the insides, so here it is.

I'm glad you guy's are enjoying it and feel free to comment:)

About the best reference is probably in game scenes, especially for the mechwarrior Playstation 1 game from 1996-1997. That or if you can find the cutaway of a madcat in the tech manuals. This is amazing work. I'd love one. I had the old Horizon vinyl kit but was too underskilled then and I wish i had it still. Keep up the good work.

WOW, that's one hell of a Madcat. Absolutely stunning job well done :thumbsup

The Timberwolf and the Summoner were my mechs of choice when playing the clans (Jade Falcon).

Thanks guy's, I did use the tech manuals from the games to get the cutaways and what not. And I played a lot of MW4, studying the model.
I eventually plan on building the summoner, one of these days. But right now I'm making a handful of mechs that are half the size of this beast, for my boy this coming holiday season. But I'll make sure to cast those for anyone interested.
Thanks for the comments, and feel free to post:)

Very cool! I noticed that there is wiring in the arm? What's that for?
Thanks
Those are the power and hydraulic cables / hoses. I was going to use a conduit hose, but the skeleton and hydraulic ram in the arm wouldn't allow that, so I had the power cable and hydraulic hose snake around the components. I personally don't like how this was done, but it's better than nothing I suppose.

woow!!! that's the coolest madcat replica I've ever see. it looks like MW3 madcat to me. so do you plan on selling it, coz it looks collectible.
