Recon Helmet looks off at first glance

Don’t really have much faith in them after what they did with the Laser Pistol

Time will tell…..

Yeah, I think these are going to be idealized versions of the 1978 TV show props. But I am still amazed that we are getting ANYTHING old school BSG, including new figures (2 lines!) and a scaled Viper! There were the crazy He-Man inspired Trendmasters mid 1990s releases, the Joyride studios and Bif-Bang-Pow! releases in the 2000s and the early 2010s, but they were gone just as quickly. Just my 2 cents:

1) Those new Cylon figures will be mine
2) Are the 3.75 inch figures going to be wide release that I can pick up for $10 at Target, or exclusive limited runs at $30 each?! And will will get a full line of characters, or just a half dozen?
3) They should show some love for the female cast!

Cool stuff. I’m glad there is a Boomer too, not just Starbuck and Apollo. They were the 3 musketeers for me growing up. I’m with Funky tho about a warrior helmet costing a yahren of pay…

Hard to tell from images and footage, can anyone hazard a guess how long that viper is? Two feet maybe?

Well, considering that "3.75 inch action figure scale" is somewhere around 1:19 scale (approximately), if you knew how long a full-size Viper is supposed to be, you could do a rough estimate.

OR, using one of the photos...

The gold Cylon appears to be positioned on the same plane as the Viper. If the Cylons are the same size as the Colonial figures, we can use that as a unit of 3.75 inches. So a little over 5 Cylons long. ;) 5 Cylons would be 18.75 inches, so I would guesstimate somewhere around 19 to 20 inches for the Viper?

AWESOME math! I love it!
Hmmm 19 - 20 inches is really gonna push the limits of my available space.
I guess, like everyone, I'll see how scary the price tag is.

I agree on the female characters. I need a Sheba figure. There is something about that 70s warm, earth tone look. Star Trek The Motion Picture has some of that look as well. And I vaguely remember similar feelings from malls and hotels from the day, perhaps Disney World too.

But this is pretty much childhood nostalgia that we never got. I only had one or two Battlestar Galactica toys but I'm sure they never made a Viper with figures similar to the GI Joe line which is what I wanted. I would draw the Viper all the time.
