Battlestar Galactica 1/4105

It's been a while since my last build!

I got a little side tracked with the old day job working in the Animation industry. But I did get a little time to squeeze in this really fun Battlestar from Moebius that I wanted to share with you all. It was awesome to get away from the computer for a while and get my hands dirty again.

I was really excited to build this model, not only because I'm a big fan of the show, but also because it got me away from the pristine ships from the Star Trek universe and let me practice some weathering. I also got to play around with my new airbrush and some fiber optics for the first time too. So a lot of fun was had and it was a relatively quick build, clocking in just under a week.

Where'd you get the pic on the background? That's the "Aerilon in Flames" pic, right? I'd love to know if those are available somewhere.

Thanks for the comment Griffworks! Glad you liked the work.

As far as the picture in the background, that's called "Lest We Forget" I believe. And it's a high res scan from an auction catalog of BSG props that I found on a old thread in the RPF actually. I can't remember exactly what the thread was, so here is the scan that I cleaned up and printed off. One is with the corners cut and the other is the high res version. Enjoy!
