Batpod Question - Possible Spoilers

Just watching the new trailers and such for the DK flick.

Am I to assume that the Bat Pod is what's left of the Tumbler at some point? I recall hearing that it pulls a "Batmissle" at some point in the film.

The Batpod does look like its derived from the joystick controls and front wheels of the tumbler. That's what got me wondering.

Damn shame - I liked the tumbler. :cry

Yeah, my understand is that the original suit and the tumbler get trashed at some point and that's why he has the new crap.

Remember in Batman Begins, when Batman backs up into the parking spot on the parking garage roof?

When he needs to shoot a hole to "jump" off of the roof, he shifts down to fire the guns.

Hmmmm... almost the same position he is in when he rides the "new" batpod...
