Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

DC Phase 1 doesn't begin with this movie, surely it began with MOS. And on the BvsS thing, there are more than just physical ways these two can fight, I'm guessing their motives/intentions/ways of doing things will clash and it will kick off, for a time, and then they'll make friends awww etc.

And that's the exact reason Kryptonite was introduced into the comic books in *1949--a hero that's completely invulnerable and impervious to everything is boring because there's never any sense that he/she is at risk.
*Kryptonite was first introduced in 1943 in the Superman radio program, both as a plot device and as a way for actor Bud Collyer (who provided Superman's voice) to take some time off.

In that regard, I'm kind of surprised they didn't have the rocks sticking all out of Doomsday be Kryptonite shards. I guess it would have been a much shorter fight if that happened.

To be followed by Day of Justice and Night of the Living Justice? ;)

HAHAHA!!! That's funny. Land of Justice. Twilight of Justice. Diary of Justice... too funny.

I think they should just leave the BvS off the title completely and call it Dawn of Justice. If they tacked that on then obviously the other leaguers are going to have a bigger part than originally expected.

Superman goes reclusive after realizing he's responsible for the death of both the last Kryptonian and his dad.
Batman tries to recruit the reluctant Kent to help with a greater threat. Batman provokes Kent until he explodes into rage and gives Bruce more than he bargained for and has to fight him.
Ultimately they kumbayah over "I am an orphan too and I understand your pain."
We get to see Affleck do his signature crying face.
The World's Finest go forth as a team bust up some bad guys.
Somewhere in the plot is WW with a peripheral role ... maybe in the beginning Batman buys an R2 unit with a WW hologram asking for help. I donno.

Keaton was miscast.
In every film he's all about undermining the potential of gravitas with his natural smarm. As Batman he's no different. Burton, as always, created a film comprised of caricature. Keaton is caricature.

Bale/Nolan was what I wanted in 1989 but didn't get. Most folks at the time didn't understand what I was talking about. After Batman Begins I basically went around to friends saying, "this movie is what I was talking about in 1989." They agreed this was better.

Are you even allowed to say that?
People act like Keaton was the BEST Batman ever. I've never seen it either. When I was 13 it was awesome just to have a Batman movie. But I think Keaton was the Batman we needed... not the Batman we deserved. I think Keaton as an actor in general is incredibly overrated. I enjoy watching him, but I don't think he brings any major presence to a role or a movie.
I liked Bale. He fit that version of Batman. He's a little wooden, but overall I think he did better than most, if not all of his predecessors... despite his Eastwood-esque Batman voice.

I think the subtitle wasn't needed. It's just a bit too much and too obvious... we get it, Justice League is next. I hate that it's Batman v Superman, why must it be one versus the other - doesn't logic dictate they'll be pals and teaming up by the end of the movie?

This has the potential to be to the mopiest movie ever. Two super-dudes being all emo.

They should have borrowed the title of the very first Ace and Gary episode and called it "Batman vs Superman: It Takes Two to Tango"

The Makers of numerous Steven Seagal straight to DVD blockbusters will be proud of this title.

Dawn of Justice indeed. I think they should give Seagal a cameo, maybe have him eating a burger or some form of pie.

Normally I'd lash out at the title for being a bit too obvious in it's set up for a Justice League movie, but than I remembered that the first Captain America had the subtitle "The First Avenger" which was about as big a set-up as you can get. But even knowing that, his first movie was still a pure Captain America movie even with the Avenger in the title. This title not only sets up that this is a two character movie, but having "Dawn of Justice" thrown in just makes the premise sound crowded. At least Captain didn't shoehorn in all of the Avengers into the mix unlike this movie that's going to bloat it with so many characters just to set up for Justice League.

Oh, one other thing. When Marvel makes a title, they usually put the characters' name in first. DC on the other hand says that they will not even give Wonder Woman her own movie unless she has "Justice League" brand title before her name.

MARVEL
Captain America: The First Avenger

DC
Justice League: Wonder Woman

I'd say that'd be really sad if it happened, but than I remembered that she's going to be in this movie where she's only a mere part of the word 'Justice'.

^This

It seems DC would take 100 characters and fit them in a single story - which dilutes character development.
Marvel would take 100 characters and tell 101 stories - which enhances character development.

I gotta say... I'm not exactly thrilled by this.

If they brought Arrow and Flash into the mix, however, I'd be sorely tempted, sheerly for the idea of seeing Emily Bett Rickards and Danielle Panabaker.

Nahhh, he can pretend to be a cop just like he does on Steven Seagal: Lawman. :D
