Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Is it just me, or is this movie taking for ever to make. Star Wars doesn't seem to be taking this long.

I don't think it's so much that as it is that I personally feel they are showing things too early on. It was like when they showed the first image of Superman 2 years before Man of Steel came out. They should have just not shown much at all and then start the trickle as it got closer. Look how long they are waiting to show us new Star Wars shots. The shooting has been done for a while and we have only been shown a teaser trailer with about 9 months remaining til TFA. I think that's a good gap of time to build the hype. Showing things this early feels like it's going to be a long drag.

At this point (as much as I LOVE The Dark Knight and Supes) I'm more excited to see the Civil War movie having seen nothing at all from it so far (I don't think they've started shooting yet, right?). I know not every single Marvel movie has been wonderful, but one thing they have on DC's film franchise right now is very healthy character development and feel an attachment to the heroes involved far moreso than the new Superman and Batman. I still wish it were Bale's Batman being pulled back in to give more a connection of Nolan's trilogy, but I guess that world doesn't acknowledge a Superman existence and can understand that. Still...

I agree that the announcement and releases of images and the teaser at comic con was very early, but it's hard to find the happy median with most fans....give give give. Why did you show it so soon? When are you going to show something else? Give us the film already, etc.

I for one am simply happy with what we've seen so far. I think DC is at least taking the right approach and taking a good long while to make the film to produce the best film they can. I have high hopes for this and although I wasn't a fan of Jesse being cast, I'll admit that after seeing this, watching Z-land again, etc, he is a great actor and with the right script and inspiration I think he will do a very good and unique take on Lex that will be a breath of fresh air compared to the happy, joking, "scientist" we have seen in previous versions.

jesse eisenberg is a woody allen clone. im not going to see or feel anything "threatening" by him at all. i don't care if he is shoving kryptonite up supermans arse, he is still a friggin weenie.

just watched it. im not saying he isn't a good actor. i just don't/cant see him pulling off ANY L.L. that's a badass, again....woody allen......but i do want to know where they shot that movie as i live in OREGON lol

Sorry, i guess i meant he can act as a threatening/creepy role, at least i see him that way in that trailer. I sorta laughed hearing him being cast, i was like "Blue from Rio? Whaaa?" But after remembering Social Network and Now You See Me, then the Night Moves trailer (havent seen the entire movie) I saw that he can have different personalities, but mashing the best of his previous characters may be able to make a good Lex

Its probably just that thing with the batsignal shining up at superman they showed last year, but with less screaming audience members.

No way, if that's the case it's going to be so disappointing. That teaser was about 1 minute long.

They have almost a year's worth of footage since then and this trailer will be around 2 minutes long when it debuts fully next week.
