Batman Live cast costumes

First off, I am a Harley fan and seeing the terrible costume they made for her (is that a punk rock raggedy ann doll?) is just depressing. But I still want to know: Is this show going on in the U.S? Or is it all in the UK?:wacko

I am going to love this, and taking the whole family will be a blast. I think the entire POINT of this is having a more theatrical-cartoonesque show.

Please remember, this whole thing is marketed to THE FAMILY. Haters gonna hate.

This is gonna win an Academy Award. Just you all watch.

Hey they made Robin armored instead of that weird mail... very good change.

I like the Catwoman costume, seems to take influence from the AC design with the mixed leather/fabric materials. I actually do like the Harley costume too...IF it were red and BLACK ( sans the bendy braids ). I don't know why they made the half blue...just doesn't make any sense. :unsure

Those poor actors look absolutely drenched from the costumes+ lighting though. I'd melt away!

I hate to be a downer again on this thread, but seriously? If I were to meet the person who designed costumes for this show, I'd have to slap them. They don't look all that well made, Catwoman looks WAY too much like AC, Harley Quinn is a ballerina, Joker has a really bad leisure suit .... And Ivy's the only one who looks comfortable. Gee, I wonder why. -_-

I could point out a number of things I would have done differently, as a costume designer for stage. For example, using materials that the actors could BREATHE in. I've been on stage enough to know that if you can't breathe in you costume, you can't concentrate on what you're doing on stage, and you don't enjoy yourself.

Really, I only like the costume for the Riddler and Ivy, if only Ivy were really a red head.

But then again, I'm picky. Like, REALLY picky.

I can't say that I care for the newer over-rubberized look either. It looks even more difficult to move in and extremely cruel to the actors. I mean... being encased in rubber is one thing, but put them under hot stage lights and doing a show with some stunts... why not just put them in an iron maiden?

Although I'm sure from a distance they don't look quite so cartoony... but I'm sure they're still uncomfortable.

My evidence that the design for Harley really ISN'T that bad... they just took a few wrong turns with the hair and the blue and I'll never really figure out why. They HAD To have had a draft that looked more like this, and they went with that??? :confused

I actually like THIS enough that I would totally make it.

just saw the show the other night. batman, robin, and joker have been updated and look a lot better. harley looks the same, the blue doesnt make sense to me but the actress was good enough to make up for it. catwoman was good too.
