I'm a new member here, but figure some Bat-fans might appreciate this. My wife and I made a trip to Manhattan when Dark Knight Rises was being filmed. She's been a fan of Batman for 20 years. I gave her first edition copies of Frank Miller's Dark Knight series for our first Christmas, if that says anything. I had bought those same issues as they were released when I was in junior high.
Memorable events were walking back to our hotel in the financial district, turning a corner, and seeing a block lined with Gotham City police cars and cabs. Unreal, as lower Manhattan was once called "Gotham." Seeing the tattered flags hanging from the NYSE. Running into a department store which had windows overlooking the police/bad guys fight scene on Wall Street (we had about two minutes before being asked to leave - along with a bunch of other fans).
Esposita is from Mexico, and communicates with a podcast group "Comic Geekos" - the guys that stay on top of all comic related madness in Latin America. The following page from Comic Geekos is in Spanish, but pics say a thousand words. Enjoy!
