I so wish Bandai would release a Kessel Run Falcon- I think that would rapidly become one of their best selling kits

One last batch of pics. Since I didn't build the kit stock, I had the escape pod parts leftover.
Hmm, what to do with them...
I used the same base colors as the rest of the kit, did a quick acrylic wash, used a gunmetal tone on the engine bells, then slapped on the blue stripes and a couple of tiny markings. This section comes with its own display stand, so I can place it alongside the Falcon.

I'll bump this up one last time, lol.
I took this Falcon, along with the stock Solo version to a local model contest yesterday. There were actually a decent number of sci-fi entries.
I wound up taking third place. The first place entry was a 1/350 Klingon K'tinga and the second place entry was some Gundam variant. Not familiar with Gundam, so I couldn't tell you which one it was.
Here's my babies with their bronze medal!
