Ballerina-John Wick Spin-off

First of all, I enjoyed it. It was entertaining. But ...

I can appreciate that things aren't quite the same in John Wick World as they are in real life, but some things just push the boundaries of credibility. I don't think it's a spoiler since it's in the trailer and commercial, but the whole grenade fight sequence? Being that to close to that many explosions would have left her deaf for the rest of the film and probably hearing impaired for the rest of her life. And the guy she pins behind the door? If the force of the blast was enough to blow a hole in the wall behind the door, it definitely would have blown the door off it's hinges and hit her.

Also, she's pretty much getting her butt kicked most of the time with little ill effect, but gets knocked out with the one shot when the story needs it?

Yea saw the trailer was like what a mess . It's an Obvious cash grab off of the Wick success . How many times have they tried this and it never works .
The Halle Berry Cameo IMO almost ruined that Wick installment only good thing she wasn't in the entire film.

So, we're done here? No wonder movies are tanking left and right. Nobody's going to the theater to see them!

I went too - I mostly enjoyed it - I thought it started and ended strong. The club fight scene was very engaging. It is my least favorite of the John Wick movies, but having said that, I'd give it a solid "B" and will watch it again on streaming. I didn't mind the fighting style so much as not finding the antagonists very interesting. Everyone is afraid of them, but we're never given a solid "why" or what they stand for. "They kill everyone" is just standard in JW's world isn't it?

I was excited about this until I thought about it beyond "beautiful woman protagonist in John wick style film" and realized it was going to suck. Then for reasons unknown to me, I still viewed it. Huge mistake. .

When I'm like 80 (if I make it that far) I'm going to look back at all of the stupid movies I wasted time on and really want to kick myself in the tush. Time to make a few changes...

No more crappy Marvel films/shows or other exhausted franchises (too many to list), Star Wars that doesn't look incredible (on the level of the OT, Andor, Mando season 1, or Rogue 1), musicals, stupid reboots that shouldn't be made, fan service, films so bad they're good (I've seen enough for 3 lifetimes), clear carbon copies of other films or shows I've already seen, nothing that doesn't immediately excite or spark massive interest, no more "I really like that actor so I'll give it a chance despite having no interest in the film," no more going along with the group when I have zero interest in the film they want to see and absolutely no more being apologetic for not liking something.

I saw it and liked it for what it is - a shoot em up / blow em up story set in the John Wick universe with just enough of a storyline to make you go - yeah ok that works.

Agree that the grenade and flame thrower scenes were pretty entertaining although completely ridiculous.

I liked having Wick in the movie without it becoming about him like how The Book of Boba Fett turned into Mando season 2.5.

If they don’t win an award for some of the stunts in this movie, I’ll be really surprised.

I wish they would have kept a deleted scene in which answers a big question but it probably had to do with a surprise at the end that didnt want to be spoiled.
