Bagpuss Professor Yaffle

Here is another scratchbuild of mine of characters from the children's tv of my youth. Professor Yaffle from Bagpuss, a carved wooden bookend in the shape of a woodpecker! A fairly snooty one!

Thanks. That toy is a Spacex toy (in the US they were called Golden Astronaut toys). I'm a big fan and collector of them. Loved them as a kid.

Thanks. He seems to be made of pieces of plywood, not carved at all!

I've been sorting some of my stuff out to display it better. I have put Yaffle in a box frame and somehow he now looks like a piece of Victorian taxidermy!

It's magnificent! My other half IS PROFESSOR YAFFLE I swear ... glorious to see, no merchandise of the auld bird available, you'd make a fortune
