Was the pattern updated after your product picture was taken? Because the buttons seem to be in the right places and the waist looks a little thinner.
The jacket shown there is more current than the one shown on our site, but the vest is out of date.
I know it's not the same one in the movie, but I found a blue ladies Class-5 vest on ebay for $28. I gifted it to my girlfriend.

Any update on the vest Magnoli? Is the vest that's on your website the final design? Or do you still have more adjustments being made. Any new pictures of the vest?
I purchased his new vest. Here it is compared to my burnt orange vest. I suggested to him that he should make it darker because it's like a pumpkin orange in real life.

Thanks for the picture showing the current Magnoli vest. Yes, I can see the difference in the orange. Darker would be better. It also appears to be shinier too? I was wondering if there are plans to do more adjustments on colour, material or puffiness.
Yes it is quite shiny as well. I'm kinda of perplexed that it turned out like this when he was in direct contact with someone who owns the real vest. The shape and puffiness are fine, but the color, pockets, and shine take away from recognition.

I thought so. Yeah, from the pictures the pockets and the colour need adjusting. When you compare it side by side with an original dark burnt orange class-5 vest, it just seems not quite right.
I know Magnoli has put a lot of work into getting this right, it's so nearly there!!
The pockets need to be a little taller and more round. And the fabric needs to be changed to something less shiny amd a darker color. Fix these and it will be spot on. Hopefully these things will get changed in the future so other customers get a better replica.
I believe it is more orange than burnt.

I see, yeah that's what I was thinking. Thanks. The head goonie one isn't too bad of a shape really, just a shame that the colour isn't right. I wonder if Magnoli has more changes planned for his current vest soon? There was a version he had before that was more cloth like, which looked better than the current shiny version, just again the colour needed adjusting on that one too. I sure is tough to get the right colour!

I bought a vintage class-5 on ebay yesterday, but it has tan/beige lining instead of the usual burnt orange one. Everything else, the cut and everything, looks pretty accurate, it's just the lining that is off. I got it for a bargain too... Less than 100$.
Could you guys help me out and take a look at it? Is it a weird variant of the original jacket with a different liner, or is it it's own thing and has a completely different cut? Have you seen one like this before? I have no frame of reference to make an educated assessment.
Unfortunately all I have so far are these blurry photos:

Ive been looking on eBay for class-5 vests all week and never saw this vest. Did he not label it by name? That or you did not buy this yesterday.

He did label it by name... The auction ended yesterday at 11:53 PM CET and was launched 20 minutes earlier. I got lucky, I guess.

Oh well I'm in Spain right now on deployment and I'm on night crew. I must have missed it. I wear a medium vest anyway or else I would give you an offer. I plan on getting the new Headgoonie vest when it comes out. It's a real missed opportunity that Class-5 doesn't even want to reproduce this vest again. Last I heard it was bought out by some Japanese company. That's just a mountain of money waiting there and they just said screw it.

Does anyone know how to order from Headgoonie? It's all in Japanese and my iPad won't translate it.
The Headgoonie vest looks great, but they're selling it for ¥42120 ($350)!! That's what I would pay for a real Class-5, but not for a replica. :eek
